With a maximum towing capacity of 13,300 pounds, the half-ton Silverado is a very capable mover. It is 550 pounds higher than the Ram 1500’s maximum towing rating, but 700 pounds lower than the F-150. Chevy’s highest traction rating is available with a diesel engine and a 6.2-liter V-8, but the 5.3-liter version can still handle up to 11,500 pounds.
